When replacing a radiator hose, it is recommended to also perform a coolant flush and replacement to remove any potential sludge buildup. This process helps maintain optimal engine temperature and operational reliability. The fitting position for this hose is on the right side, connecting the radiator lower to the thermostat housing. This part is designed to be a direct replacement for the original equipment, fitting BMW 3 Series E36 models from 1990-2000, specifically the 316i and 318i M40 engines.
