The BMW Genuine Parts radiator coolant hose is specifically designed as the lower radiator hose for the E39 M5 model. This essential component transports hot coolant from the engine's thermostat to the radiator. Due to its location and constant exposure to severe heating and cooling cycles, the lower radiator hose is susceptible to wear and tear, often deteriorating faster than the upper hose. Signs of a failing hose include cracking, swelling, fraying, or dry rot, necessitating immediate replacement. When replacing the lower radiator hose, it is recommended to also replace the upper radiator hose to ensure optimal service life and prevent future issues. Additionally, a coolant flush and replacement are advised during this maintenance to remove any accumulated sludge. The product is made in Germany and is a Genuine BMW part, ensuring it meets the stringent quality standards set by the manufacturer.
