The Spectra Premium CU1693 is an automotive radiator engineered for maximum cooling efficiency and durability. Constructed with an aluminum core and plastic tanks, it features a cross-flow design for optimal heat dissipation. The radiator is equipped with both an internal engine oil cooler (4 plates, M20 - 1.5 Female fittings) and an internal transmission oil cooler (5 plates, 5/8-18 UNF Female fittings), which contribute to improved vehicle performance and product longevity, provided they were originally equipped on the vehicle. Key specifications include a core height of 17.25 inches and a core width of 34 inches. The inlet is located at the top left with a diameter of 1.3125 inches, while the outlet is at the bottom right with a diameter of 1.5625 inches. Spectra Premium emphasizes rigorous testing, including in-house laboratory and assembly-line tests, as well as transit testing with robust packaging to prevent shipping damage. To ensure optimal performance and prevent premature failure, it is recommended to completely drain and flush the cooling system with a cooling system flush prior to installation. Replacing radiator hoses, hose clamps, the thermostat, and the radiator cap as part of routine maintenance is also advised. Refill the system with fresh coolant according to the owner's manual specifications and inspect levels annually.
