The Metra 70-1770 radio wiring harness is engineered to simplify the installation of an aftermarket stereo in 1985-2004 Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury vehicles. This harness acts as a direct interface, plugging into the factory radio connectors without the need for cutting or splicing any original vehicle wires. This preserves the factory wiring, allowing for a clean and fully reversible upgrade. The harness provides all the necessary connections for a new head unit, including power (12V constant and accessory), ground, illumination/dimmer, and leads for all four speakers (left rear, left front, right rear, and right front, with negative wires indicated by stripes). The harness has a 7-inch length, which helps manage excess wire within the dash cavity. This product is compatible with a range of models including Aerostar, Aspire, Bronco, Bronco II, Contour, and Crown Victoria, among others from the specified years. Always confirm your vehicle's factory radio plug configuration matches the two 8-pin plugs on the harness before installation.
