The Schroth Rallye 3 is a 3-point DOT-approved restraint system designed for the right (passenger) side. The Schroth Rallye 3 is a 3-point DOT-approved restraint system designed for the right (passenger) side, featuring a black finish with a yellow patch. This harness is an excellent option for vehicles where a Rallye 4 may not fit, particularly if rear seat space is limited. A key feature is the ASM (Anti-SubMarining) technology, which incorporates an extra flap into the inboard shoulder belt. This design actively prevents the wearer from sliding under the lap belt during sudden stops or collisions by allowing one shoulder strap to stretch differently, keeping the pelvis securely in the seat and ensuring an upright position upon rebound. Installation is simplified as the Rallye 3 utilizes the vehicle's original factory harness mounting locations. These points have undergone load testing by the manufacturer, ensuring their integrity during intense situations. Schroth uniquely offers the ability to easily disconnect the tailstrap, allowing for the continued use of the factory 3-point harness for passengers or cargo, providing versatility for everyday use. It is important to note that this Schroth harness is not compatible with HANS or any other head and neck restraint devices. The system attaches to factory harness mounting locations, offering a secure and reliable safety solution without sacrificing comfort or usability for daily driving.
