Constructed using a vacuum infusion process with hand-laid fiberglass and resin, this hood features a functional ram air tunnel to direct cold air towards your performance intake system, as well as heat extractor vents to remove hot air from the engine bay. The design utilizes factory hinges and latch for a straightforward installation, and the smooth gel coat finish on both the top and underside simplifies prep work for painting. This hood is specifically designed for the 2011-2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Please note that as with most aftermarket fiberglass parts, minor sanding, shaving, cutting, and/or filling may be necessary prior to painting and installation. It is recommended that installation be performed by a professional body shop experienced with aftermarket fiberglass components. Important considerations for installation include that composite hoods are typically thicker and stiffer than factory hoods, potentially requiring adjustment of rubber stoppers or fender alignment for a perfect fit. Furthermore, all carbon fiber and fiberglass hoods are incompatible with OEM gas strut hood lifters; lower weight-rated lifters are required to prevent stress, cracking, and voiding the warranty. The use of hood pins in conjunction with the stock hood latch is highly recommended as a fail-safe, especially given the lighter weight of composite hoods compared to metal ones.
