Overview

The Vortex Ram Induction Air Intake is a performance air intake system designed for the Corvette C6. It replaces the restrictive stock air box assembly, utilizing a unique design with an internal vortex velocity stack to reduce air turbulence and improve performance. The system obtains cool, pressurized air from the radiator cavity through a modified shroud and forces it through a sealed box directly into the intake.

The Vortex Ram Induction Air Intake system is engineered to replace the restrictive stock air box assembly on the Corvette C6. This system draws cool, pressurized air from the radiator cavity through a modified shroud, forcing it into a sealed box that directly injects cold air into the intake. The Vortex Rammer kit is designed to lower manifold air temperature by nearly 30 degrees Fahrenheit, which directly translates to more power. The kit includes a new smooth coupler to replace the factory accordion coupler downstream of the MAF, creating a straighter airflow path to the throttle body. BPP's Fiberglass power duct, part of the Vortex V2 Ram Induction System, replaces the stock air bridge and is optimized for smooth airflow to the MAF, increasing airflow to the motor by over 40%. Performance results have shown gains of up to 36HP and 38 ft-lb of torque at the flywheel. Additionally, the pressurized air forced into the intake at speeds over 35 MPH can provide an additional up to 10 HP. This kit is specifically designed for the 2005-2007 C6 Corvette LS2 models. Performance computer programming is recommended for optimal results.
