Description

The Rancho RS5000X shock absorber is designed to improve on- and off-road handling and performance. It features Rancho's exclusive Cross Tuned technology, including a unique rebound valving system and advanced compression phase. The shock absorber also includes Progressive Engagement Valving, custom-tuned for each vehicle to minimize rough rides at low speeds.

Constructed with a 16mm nitro-carburized piston rod for durability, the RS5000X has a double-welded loop at stress areas and a 35mm sintered iron piston. Its large twin-tube body is filled with all-weather fluid for cooler operation and improved vehicle control, capable of handling temperatures from -40 to 248°F. A polyvinyl protective boot shields the unit, while a polyurethane rebound bumper and rubber bushings absorb harshness. The shock is nitrogen gas pressurized to 150 PSI to reduce damping performance fade and foaming.
