It is particularly suited for side-mount twin-turbo setups where radiator airflow is less critical, allowing for a smaller fin height and increased internal flow. This intercooler is rated for up to 928 HP and 1393 CFM.

The Treadstone TR1235R Rated-R Intercooler is engineered for demanding performance applications, especially in side-mount twin-turbo configurations. Unlike standard intercoolers, its design prioritizes internal flow by allowing for a reduced ambient fin height, as it's not dependent on airflow from a radiator behind it. This intercooler boasts a core size of 22" x 12.5" x 3.5" and features 22 internal passageways, compared to the standard TR1235's 18. This enhancement results in significantly higher internal flow capacity and a reduced pressure drop, with less than 2psi at maximum flow. The TR1235R is rated to support up to 928 horsepower and 1393 CFM, a substantial increase over the standard TR1235's rating of 760 HP and 1142 CFM. Its robust construction and advanced internal design make it suitable for full-race intercooler setups on large front-mount applications as well. The 3-inch inlet and outlet sizes ensure compatibility with a wide range of plumbing configurations.
