The Howards Rattler Camshaft 279995 is engineered to unlock the full performance potential of your 2005-2010 Ford Mustang GT. This hydraulic roller camshaft features a unique design with widened lobe centers and a revamped ramp rate, which enhances air velocity for increased horsepower and torque. Constructed from high-grade, race-quality cores using high-precision CNC grinding machines, this camshaft ensures superior build quality and a precise fit for optimal service life. The Rattler Camshaft is compatible with stock torque converters and valve springs, and can support torque converters with an operating range up to 5400 RPM, making it a versatile upgrade. Specific lift and duration figures include 0.500" intake and exhaust valve lift, with 271.6 degrees intake duration (230 degrees at 0.050) and 276.6 degrees exhaust duration (236 degrees at 0.050). Installation is designed to be straightforward, without requiring custom modifications or drilling, and is estimated to take approximately 6 hours for those with moderate mechanical skills. However, a custom tune is required after installation to achieve maximum power gains. For individuals less experienced with engine modifications, professional installation is recommended.
