The Raylar GEN7R intake manifold is an aluminum component designed for the Vortec 8100/8.1L/496CID engine. It provides improved airflow and power output over the stock manifold, which is limited to low RPM use. The GEN7R features tuned runners and a large plenum to enhance mid-range torque and high-RPM horsepower.

It accepts both 90MM and 102MM throttle bodies and bolts on in the same space as the stock manifold without requiring modifications to engine wiring or accessories.

The Raylar GEN7R intake manifold is an aluminum performance upgrade engineered specifically for the Vortec 8100/8.1L/496CID engine. The factory intake manifold is designed for low RPM operation and struggles to meet the higher air flow demands of performance-oriented 496/8.1L engines. The GEN7R addresses this limitation by providing significantly improved airflow and optimized power output across the entire RPM range. Raylar's GEN7R intake manifold features a design with shorter length, high-velocity, tuned runners. This design, combined with a large, unrestricted plenum, is intended to produce stronger mid-range torque and higher RPM horsepower by satisfying the engine's increased demand for air at higher engine speeds. The manufacturer claims the GEN7R adds an additional 30% in air volume over the stock manifold, enabling better breathing at high RPM and substantial power gains, particularly in modified applications. Constructed from aluminum, this intake manifold is designed as a direct bolt-on replacement for the restrictive stock unit, fitting within the same physical space. It is compatible with both 90MM and 102MM throttle bodies (4-bolt / LS2 style). The GEN7R accepts all standard fittings, sensors, brackets, injectors, and fuel rails without necessitating modifications to the engine or its wiring harness, simplifying installation. For optimal results, it is recommended for use with performance cylinder heads and camshafts.
