The Straightboost™ Performance RB Engine Swap Mount Kit is a robust solution for integrating Nissan RB-Series engines into the Datsun 240z, 260z, and 280z chassis. Key features include a factory-style slant mount for authentic fitment and a centered shifter position within the transmission tunnel. These mounts are compatible with most rear-sump oil pans and front-facing intake plenums, often requiring minimal or no modifications. Constructed from laser-cut Grade 1018 mild steel, the components are professionally TIG welded for exceptional strength and finished with a durable black powder coat. Installation involves direct bolting to the transmission tunnel, requiring drilling and the use of provided low-profile hardware for a secure fit. This design enables precise setting of the driveshaft angle before final installation and offers superior exhaust clearance compared to many other kits, simplifying exhaust routing. Note that some modifications or massaging of the transmission tunnel may be necessary depending on the specific chassis. This kit is intended For Off-Road or Race Use Only and is not suitable if a no-drill solution or a preference against sandwich plates inside the vehicle is desired. Engine compatibility extends to RB20DE/DET, RB25DE/DET, RB26DETT, and RB30. Transmission compatibility includes RB20, RB25, 300ZX TT & N/A, and CD009, though shifter or tunnel modifications may be required for the latter two.
