Overview

The Billet engine block is a chassis fabrication material designed for the Nissan RB26 engine. It features an increased block height and is constructed from 6061 aerospace aluminum for significant weight savings. This block offers increased rigidity and strength compared to the original, reducing distortion in the cylinder bores and crank mechanism. It utilizes larger cylinder head bolts for a strong connection and has a wet/open deck design suitable for road and racing applications up to 300 hp per cylinder.

The Billet engine block is a custom fabrication material engineered for the Nissan RB26 engine, offering significant improvements in rigidity and strength over the stock unit. Constructed from 6061 aerospace aluminum, it provides substantial weight savings, reducing the overall mass of the engine. This billet block features an increased deck height and thicker cylinder walls, along with a 4-bolt main bearing cap design for enhanced durability. Designed for high-performance applications, this engine block can support power levels up to 1800 hp, depending on the specific setup and components used. The wet/open deck design allows for water flow to the cylinder head, similar to OEM configurations, making it suitable for road and racing use with outputs up to 300 hp per cylinder. The use of larger cylinder head bolts ensures a robust connection between the block and cylinder head, further contributing to its strength and reliability. Installation of this billet block requires minor modifications, including the use of an external oil filter and drilling the cylinder head bolts to 14 mm. It comes pre-machined and includes 1/2" head bolts and 7/16" main bearing bolts. An optional Bullet fire ring head gasket is also available to complement the build.
