RC 12 - 12 48V 1/2" CHAIN & 3/4" R

The RC12 Series automatic rope/chain windlass retrieves and deploys 10mm–13mm (3/8″–1/2”) short link chain and 16mm–22mm (5/8″–7/8”) 8-Plait rope using Maxwell’s patented Wave Design™ chainwheel. It is highly versatile with multiple configurations (anti-clockwise, capstan, low profile, extended deck clearance, etc.) and features marine-grade (AISI 316) stainless steel components. The through-deck hawse pipe ensures easy rode entry, and a double cone-type brake/clutch mechanism allows ‘Free Fall’ anchoring with smooth, progressive engagement. Emergency manual retrieval is facilitated by Maxwell’s unique “Active Latch Ratchet System” to prevent backwind. The Maxwell-designed gearbox offers fast installation, increased corrosion resistance, easy maintenance, and takes up less space, with a 75:1 ratio and single-stage design for quieter operation. Maxwell windlasses require a chain stopper or snubbing device to take the load off while at anchor and to secure the anchor while underway. This windlass is available with all components for fully automatic dual-direction control and in a version with extra deck clearance.
