The Maxwell RC12-12 Windlass is a fully automatic rope/chain anchor winch for larger boats, featuring Wave Design™ chainwheel for improved handling. It handles 12mm/13mm (1/2") short link chain and 20mm (3/4") three-strand or 8-plait rope. With a maximum pull of 1590 kg (3500 lbs) and an anchor retrieval rate of 15 m/min (50'/min), it is powerful and fast. The design includes a sleek, low-profile marine-grade 316 stainless steel deckplate and a huge, through-deck hawse pipe throat. It features a double cone-type brake/clutch mechanism for free-fall anchoring and an Active Latch Ratchet System for emergency manual retrieval. The black, hard-anodized gearbox ensures easy installation, corrosion resistance, and compact size. The RC12-12 has a 100:1 ratio, single-stage design for smooth and quiet operation. The package includes the windlass, a dual-direction solenoid pack, a circuit breaker/isolator panel, an up/down remote control panel, and an emergency crank/clutch release handle.
