The Maxwell RC10-10 Series rope/chain windlass is a second-generation, fully automatic windlass suitable for boats ranging from 9m (30ft) to 14m (48ft). It is constructed from marine-grade 316 stainless steel and chromed bronze for durability. This vertical windlass is designed to effortlessly retrieve and deploy 8mm (5/16") and 10mm (3/8") short link chain and 14mm and 16mm (5/8") three strand or 8-brait (plait) rope. It features a patented Wave Design™ rope/chain gypsy to accommodate various chain pitch differences, a unique spacer tube for installation through various deck thicknesses, and a self-aligning gearbox for optimal orientation. The windlass has a cone-type clutch/brake mechanism for manual free fall anchoring and operates with a sealed oil bath, marine-grade hard anodised alloy gearbox for maximum output. It can be easily disassembled for maintenance with the provided handle and an Allen key. The RC10-10 works effectively with all-chain rodes and includes a heavy-duty stainless steel pressure arm for effective rope/chain splice grasping. It comes with the windlass unit, an on/off breaker panel, a reversing solenoid, an up/down panel switch, and a handle.
