RD900/5 5-Channel Class D Amplifier

The JL Audio RD900/5 is a 5-channel Class D amplifier designed as an all-in-one solution to power a complete audio system, consisting of a subwoofer and four satellite speakers, delivering a total of 900 watts of high-performance sound. This amplifier utilizes JL Audio's exclusive NexD switching technology for efficient power generation and a compact chassis. It outputs a potent 70 watts of crystal-clear audio into 4 ohms for each of the four main channels, and a robust 500 watts for the dedicated subwoofer channel when driving a 2-ohm load. The RD900/5 is also fully bridgeable on its main channels, capable of producing 200 watts of full-range audio bliss into 4 ohms, effectively transforming it into a powerful 3-channel amplifier. Conveniently located on top, beneath a removable protective cover, are studio-grade signal processing features. Each pair of main channels is equipped with a 12 dB/octave high-pass filter, and the subwoofer channel features a dedicated low-pass filter. All three crossovers offer continuously variable frequency selection from 50-500 Hz for precise tuning. Dual-range, differential-balanced inputs are also included, accommodating various input voltage levels and offering automatic turn-on capability via signal sensing or DC-offset sensing for enhanced versatility. LED clipping indicators are standard for each channel section, simplifying the process of setting amplifier input sensitivity accurately without requiring specialized equipment.
