The BDS Suspension BDS119157 rear add-a-leaf spring kit is engineered to upgrade the rear suspension of your 1973-1998 Chevy/GMC truck or 1994-2001 Dodge Ram truck. This kit provides a lift height of 1 to 3 inches, depending on the factory leaf pack, making it a versatile solution for various driving needs, from trailering to daily commutes. The add-a-leaf springs feature a tapered and roll-pointed design, which increases flexibility and promotes a more even deflection rate. This design facilitates a smoother transition between the leaves as the suspension compresses, contributing to increased wheel travel and a softer overall ride. Higher articulation is achieved through bolt-style leaf alignment clamps that prevent leaf splaying, allowing the springs to twist and flex more effectively. For a smooth and quiet operation, the BDS119157 incorporates anti-friction pads. The multi-leaf progressive design further enhances ride quality. The installation time for this kit is approximately 2 hours. It includes complete instructions, new center pins, and new leaf alignment clamps. Please note that U-bolts are not included in this add-a-leaf purchase.
