The Genuine Saab ARB22 is a rear anti-roll (sway) bar engineered to significantly improve the handling characteristics of your New Generation 900 or Classic 9-3 (1994-2002, including 2003 CV models). By upgrading to this stiffer bar, you will experience a noticeable reduction in body roll when cornering. This enhancement also aids in eliminating understeer during aggressive driving maneuvers. Furthermore, the reduced body roll contributes to increased stability during acceleration, particularly in situations where traction is lost on one front tire, a phenomenon often misdiagnosed as torque steer. The bar is constructed from special steel, featuring a durable powdercoat finish and Grade 8 hardware to ensure lasting performance. The standard 22mm diameter is ideal for street cars seeking improved handling. For more specialized competition applications, custom sizes are available, ranging from 19mm to 25mm. Color options include VIGGEN GREY and Texture Black, allowing for a personalized aesthetic. A "Special Race only 25.5mm (1")" size is also offered for track-focused use. The 1-inch race bars are exclusively available in Chrome Silver. Installation is generally straightforward, though an extra set of hands can be beneficial.
