The Zumbrota Drivetrain RAA435-2102A is a remanufactured rear axle assembly built to rigorous quality standards for precision and reliability. Each assembly undergoes thorough inspection for straightness, cracks, and surface wear. All internal components, including ring and pinions, gears, clutches, and carriers, are inspected and tested. Critical wear items such as bearings, seals, crush sleeves, pinion nuts, and shims are replaced with new parts. The gear backlash is precisely set to ensure proper lubrication and quiet operation, with gear tooth contact patterns and rolling torque verified using inch-pound measurements for optimal setup and longevity. The remanufacturing process includes a state-of-the-art hydro-blast rinse and sandblasting procedure for both internal and external parts, followed by a proprietary shot-peened deep cleaning. This extensive cleaning process restores housings to an OEM finish. All axle tubes are inspected and straightened to meet OEM specifications. This specific assembly is designed for 1994-1997 Chevy S10, S15, and GMC Sonoma 2WD vehicles equipped with the 3rd shock mount option.
