All housings are inspected for cracks and surface wear, and tubes are straightened to OEM standards. Internal parts, including ring and pinion gears, are also inspected. The assembly undergoes a hydro-blasting process for a clean OEM finish and is precisely set up with correct rolling torque for longevity.

The Zumbrota Drivetrain Reman Axle Assy is a remanufactured rear axle assembly specifically designed for Ford F-150 models from 1997-1999, featuring a 9.75-inch ring gear and a 3.55 gear ratio. This assembly undergoes a rigorous remanufacturing process to meet or exceed OEM standards. All tubes are inspected and straightened, and housings are tested for cracks and surface wear. A comprehensive 100% inspection is performed on all internal components, including the ring and pinion gears, internal gears, clutches, and carriers. Critical wear items such as bearings, seals, crush sleeves, pinion nuts, and shims are all replaced. The remanufacturing process includes a state-of-the-art hydro blasting and rinsing process to restore the housing to its original OEM finish. Precision setup is ensured through the establishment of correct rolling torque, measured in inch-pounds, which contributes to the longevity and reliable performance of the axle assembly. The unit features Posi Traction for enhanced grip and is configured for rear drum brakes with 12 mm wheel studs and a 1.62-inch diameter wheel bearing surface. It is important to note that this assembly does not include hubs, brakes, backing plates, or axle shafts.
