Rear Axle Assembly 4.10 Posi-Traction

The Zumbrota Drivetrain Reman Complete Axle Assembly, model RAA435-2257D-P, is built to high standards of precision and reliability for GM 8.6-inch differentials. Each axle assembly undergoes a thorough inspection for straightness, cracks, and surface wear. All internal components, including ring and pinions, internal gears, clutches, and carriers, are fully inspected and tested. Zumbrota replaces all bearings and seals, and meticulously inspects gears for optimal tooth contact patterns and correct rolling torque, using inch-pound measurements for precise setup and longevity. Correct gear backlash is set to ensure proper lubrication and quiet operation. The manufacturing process includes inspecting axle tubes for OEM standards of straightness and employs an exclusive hydro-blast rinse and sandblasting procedure, followed by a proprietary shot-peened deep cleaning process. All housings are tested for surface wear and cracks. This specific assembly is for 2007-2008 GM Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra models. It includes a 4.10 gear ratio and G80 Posi-Traction, and is specifically for models without the JL4 Active Brake Control option, but with JF3 or JL7 brake options. It does not include hubs, brakes, backing plates, or axle shafts.
