Show original supplier description
The Zumbrota Performance Axle is a remanufactured rear axle assembly designed for GM 8.6 vehicles, specifically for the 2009-2014 GM 1500 SUV models. This assembly comes with a 4.88 gear ratio and features a Yukon Duragrip limited-slip differential, enhancing traction for demanding lifestyles that include higher speeds, heavier towing, or larger tire upgrades. Zumbrota rebuilds these axle assemblies to stringent quality standards, ensuring precision and reliability. Each unit undergoes thorough inspection for straightness, cracks, and surface wear. All internal components, including ring and pinions, gears, clutches, and carriers, are meticulously inspected and tested. Furthermore, all bearings and seals are replaced, and the ring and pinion gears are checked for optimal tooth contact patterns and proper rolling torque. To set a high standard in axle assembly remanufacturing, Zumbrota employs an exclusive hydro-blast rinse and sandblasting procedure, followed by a proprietary deep cleaning process on all internal and external parts. This performance axle is ideal for those who require a stronger drivetrain than stock, whether due to modifications like bigger tires, higher horsepower, or the need to tow boats or trailers. The inclusion of aftermarket ratios, limited-slip differentials, and lockers directly addresses these performance needs, allowing for a customized setup that fits the owner's driving style.
