The Zimmermann rear brake rotor offers an OEM-type replacement solution for E46 models, manufactured in Germany to exacting standards. This ventilated rotor measures 294mm in diameter and 19mm in thickness, specifically designed for the rear axle. It features a Z-Coat finish, an anti-corrosion phosphate coating that effectively prevents rust on the rotor's center hat and inner vanes, ensuring a cleaner appearance and potentially longer service life compared to standard uncoated rotors. This rotor is designed as a direct fit for specific E46 models. The application notes specify it is for the 323i Convertible or Wagon models only, as it is the larger 294mm disc. It will not replace the smaller disc found on the 323i sedan or coupe. The E46 BMW Fitments include: 3 Series E46 (99-05) > 323Ci, 323i, 325Ci, 325i, 328Ci, 328i. The phosphate coating provides excellent rust resistance, especially in wet climates, and is a feature found on original equipment rotors for brands like Mercedes, Porsche, and Volkswagen.
