The PRL Motorsports Mid-Rear Chassis Brace Upgrade is engineered to enhance the driving dynamics of unibody vehicles, specifically the 2016-2021 Honda Civic models, including the 1.5T, 2.0L, and Type-R FK8 variants. Unibody chassis, while offering comfort and lightness, can exhibit undesirable compliance under heavy lateral loads, compromising performance during spirited driving or aggressive cornering. This brace addresses that by directly connecting to key structural points, effectively locking them in place and increasing overall chassis rigidity. The design focuses on stiffening the rear end of the Civic by attaching to the frame rails behind the rear wheel line, leading to more precise handling and improved cornering rotation. Constructed from durable 304 Stainless Steel with TIG welding, the brace bars and their fittings offer excellent corrosion resistance and longevity, even in harsh conditions. It includes Grade 10.9 mounting hardware for secure installation. The product fits all 2017-2021 Honda Civic Type-R FK8 models and all 2016-2021 Honda Civic 10th Gen models (1.5T & 2.0L), including RHD and international variants.
