The PRL Motorsports Rear Chassis Brace is a performance upgrade designed to increase chassis rigidity for the 2016-2021 Honda Civic. It addresses the inherent compliance of unibody chassis, which can be a limitation during spirited driving or aggressive cornering. By bolting into key structural points, this brace limits chassis movement and enhances stiffness.

The brace attaches to the frame rails behind the rear wheel line, contributing to a stiffer rear end. This modification aims to provide more precise handling and facilitate easier rotation in corners. The brace bars are constructed from 304 Stainless Steel and are TIG welded for strength and longevity, with all fittings and adapters also made from 304 Stainless Steel. It includes Grade 10.9 mounting hardware for excellent corrosion resistance.

The PRL Motorsports Rear Chassis Brace is engineered to combat the inherent flex found in unibody vehicles like the 2016-2021 Honda Civic, enhancing the driving experience for performance-oriented applications. This rear chassis brace directly addresses this by increasing chassis stiffness and rigidity. Specifically, it attaches to the frame rails behind the rear wheel line, stiffening the rear end of the Civic. This results in more precise handling characteristics and improved cornering rotation, making for a more engaging drive. The construction of the brace bars utilizes premium 304 Stainless Steel, which is TIG welded to ensure maximum strength and durability. Even the fittings and adapters used for mounting are made from 304 Stainless Steel, guaranteeing longevity. The kit includes Grade 10.9 mounting hardware, chosen for its robustness and excellent corrosion resistance, ensuring the brace withstands harsh conditions over time. This rear chassis brace is compatible with all 2017-2021 Honda Civic Type-R FK8 models, as well as 2016-2021 Honda Civic 10th Gen models (both 1.5T and 2.0L engines). It also fits all variant models, including Right-Hand Drive (RHD) and international versions. However, due to differences in the trunk floor pan, this brace is NOT compatible with Civics that were originally equipped with a spare tire. Purchasers should confirm the presence of a spare tire by checking under the rear trunk floor cover before buying.
