The Hyperco 12406HPS is a High Performance Street (HPS) series composite leaf spring specifically engineered for the rear of the Corvette C5 model. This spring provides a firm rate of 775 lbs/in, designed to enhance handling for street use, auto-crossing, and track days. The composite construction offers a significant weight savings compared to traditional steel springs while maintaining exceptional strength and durability. Key specifications for this rear spring include a true arch measurement of 4.5 inches, a front bolt size of 9/16 inches, and a rear bolt size of 1/2 inches. These dimensions ensure compatibility with the factory mounting hardware and cross member, facilitating a direct-fit installation. Hyperco's advanced manufacturing processes ensure a high degree of rate linearity, with a tolerance of 2% from 20% to 60% of deflection and 4% from 61% to 80%. This precision in rate control leads to more predictable compression, balanced handling, and a more responsive feel from the suspension system.
