The Driveshaft Shop FDSH55-A is a direct-fit rear CV driveshaft engineered for the S550 Mustang GT equipped with the MT82 manual transmission (2015-2017 models). This aluminum driveshaft, measuring 3.5 inches in diameter, is constructed with premium components including billet aluminum endcaps, 300M Chromoly spline plugs, a high-speed precision ground CV joint with chromoly internals, and a Spicer 1350 series solid U-Joint with a forged aluminum flange. This design eliminates the need for an adapter plate at the rear end, integrating the CV joint directly into the pinion flange for a cleaner setup that sheds weight and enhances drivetrain response. The driveshaft is rated to hold over 1000+ horsepower, making it suitable for extreme engine modifications. Installation requires a Rear Subframe/Cradle Lock-out kit to be installed prior to the driveshaft; failure to do so will void the warranty. Additionally, emergency brake cable bracket clearance or relocation may be necessary, and neglecting this could lead to damage and void the warranty.
