Rear Differential Cover

The Spelab differential cover is specifically engineered for GM 10.5" 14-bolt rear axles, offering a robust upgrade over stock components. Constructed from A380 aluminum, this cover provides superior strength and significantly enhances cooling performance compared to traditional iron materials. Its design incorporates external heat sink fins with a total area of 534 square inches and internal heat fins totaling 120 square inches, maximizing heat dissipation. An innovative internal diversion groove system is integrated to align with the differential gear's rotation, ensuring optimal fluid flow for enhanced lubrication and reduced wear. This differential cover also features a practical external observation mirror with a floating ball, allowing for easy monitoring of the oil level even if the mirror surface darkens over time. The exterior is finished with a black wrinkle paint for rust resistance. Included with the cover are 304 stainless steel hex flange mounting bolts for a durable and straightforward installation. The cover is also equipped with a 1/8 inch NPT sensor port for optional temperature monitoring and includes a magnetic drain plug to help attract metal particles during oil changes. The design facilitates easy differential fluid replacement without needing to remove the cover. It is important to note that this cover is designed exclusively for the GM 10.5" 14-bolt rear axle. GM also produced 9.5″ and 11.5/11.8″ 14-bolt axles, which have different size housings and covers, and therefore, this product will not fit those applications. Users should always confirm their rear axle size by measuring the ring gear diameter or checking build sheets before ordering. The cover fits a range of Chevrolet and GMC vehicles including Avalanche, C/K series trucks, Express Vans, Silverado, Sierra, and Suburbans from various model years, specifically those equipped with the 10.5″ 14-bolt rear axle.
