Unlike open differentials where torque is only sent to the wheel with less grip, this LSD limits the speed difference between the wheels, transferring power to the wheel with more traction. This means you get improved grip and a more immediate feel of acceleration. This specific M Performance differential features a 2.81 gear ratio, which is standard for vehicles equipped with an automatic transmission. It is designed as a direct swap for the original differential, maintaining the same warranty and service requirements as any other BMW differential. This limited-slip differential is compatible with specific BMW models including the F22 M235i (N55 3.0L), F22 M240i (B58 3.0L), F23 M235i (N55 3.0L), F23 M240i (B58 3.0L), F30 340i (B58 3.0L), F32 440i (B58 3.0L), F33 440i (B58 3.0L), and F36 440i (B58 3.0L). It is crucial to use the vehicle selector to confirm exact fitment for your specific car. Installation involves swapping out the original differential. The unit is shipped pre-filled with fluid and includes a new cover for a straightforward installation process. Note that this product is not eligible for Lifetime Replacement.
