Rear Disc Brake Conversion Bracket Kit

The Scarebird Classic Brakes HON-SB1071 is a pair of CNC laser-cut steel brackets designed to convert the rear drum brakes on 1988-97 Honda Civic, CRX, and del Sol models to disc brakes. This kit simplifies the popular Integra disc swap by allowing the use of 1997 Acura Integra rear rotors and calipers with an integral parking brake. The conversion does not require the removal or alteration of existing swing arms or spindles, avoiding the hassle of dealing with seized bolts. The brackets are zinc-coated for durability and are made in the USA. This kit specifies the use of 1997 Acura Integra components, including the smaller 4-lug rear rotors and calipers, along with compatible hoses, master cylinder, combination valve, and e-brake cables, which are readily available from common parts suppliers. Important fitment notes include: The HON kit is specifically for the HON Spindle ONLY. Ensure your existing trailing arm is the all-stamped steel piece, not the bolted-up forged/stamped piece (earlier design). Heavy scalloping on the deeper "CIV" spindle may be present. A change to an Integra rear disc master cylinder and proportioning block is strongly recommended. Please verify your spindle type before installation.
