The Little Shop Mfg. rear disc brake conversion kit provides an economical solution for upgrading the braking system on compatible GM trucks and SUVs. All parts included in the kit are serviceable and available for individual purchase. This kit is specifically compatible with GM 1988-1999 pickup trucks and 1992-2000 SUV models that are equipped with heavy-duty 5-lug rear ends and 11-inch drum axles. It is crucial to verify that your vehicle has the 11-inch drum size, as this kit will not fit if your model is equipped with a different drum size, even if listed as compatible. Additionally, it is recommended to verify your flange dimensions by measuring the flange at the back of the drum, referencing the provided images, which can be done without disassembling any components. The kit will fit inside many, but not all, 15-inch wheels; if caliper contact with the wheel occurs, light sanding of the caliper contact points may provide clearance. Installation may require rerouting of the emergency/parking brake cables and bending the OEM hard line to meet the flex line attachment point. Some users have reported that the master cylinder and proportioning valve may not require an upgrade, as the vehicle can stop effectively without brake fade or a soft pedal.
