The Centric 120.40097 is a premium rear disc brake rotor engineered for specific fitment on the 2017-2020 Honda Civic. Constructed with symmetric vanes and split-core castings, this rotor ensures uniform heat distribution, which is crucial for preventing brake fade during demanding use. The friction surface is double disc ground, a process that ensures optimal contact with brake pads for consistent stopping power and extends the rotor's service life. Furthermore, the rotor is treated with a Black E-Coat anti-corrosive coating. This electro-statically applied finish is designed to provide superior protection against rust and corrosion, outperforming typical phosphate finishes by withstanding up to 400 hours in salt water exposure tests, thereby maintaining its integrity significantly longer than many competitor products. This Centric rotor is a solid-type, meaning it is not vented, and does not include ABS tone rings or bearings. Its specifications include an outside diameter of 11.102 inches, a nominal thickness of 0.394 inches, and a discard thickness of 0.354 inches. The hat finish is coated, and it features a floating disc mounting design.
