Rear Drum-to-Disc Brake Conversion Kit

The Summit Racing SUM-BK1627 rear drum-to-disc brake conversion kit is designed to simplify the process of upgrading your vehicle's braking system. This kit includes all necessary components for the conversion, such as rotors, calipers, mounting brackets, brake hoses with banjo bolts, and general installation hardware. The rear rotors are vented with a solid surface design, and the kit includes cast iron calipers with a natural finish and a single piston. This conversion kit is built to accommodate dual bolt patterns of 5 x 4.50 inches and 5 x 4.75 inches. It is specifically designed for Ford 9-inch differential cases and is compatible with Big Ford (3.500 in. x 2.37 in.), Big Ford New Style, and Torino (3.562 in. x 2.00 in.) axle housing flange styles. Important fitment notes include that this kit will not fit truck axles or models with staggered shocks. The required offset for installation is between 0.250 and 0.271 inches. In some instances, the axle ends may require machining down approximately 1/8 inch to reduce the flange diameter for proper fitment. A minimum wheel diameter of 15 inches is recommended for use with this kit.
