The BDS Suspension BDS003208 is a rear leaf spring kit engineered to enhance the rear suspension of lifted 1973-1996 Ford F-150 trucks and 1978-1996 Bronco SUVs, providing a 2-inch lift. These Glide-Ride leaf springs feature a sophisticated multi-leaf progressive spring rate design. The exclusive triple-stage system includes primary leafs for everyday ride quality, secondary leafs for moderate loads, and a bottom overload for maximum hauling capacity when fully loaded. This design maintains excellent ride quality when unloaded without sacrificing payload capacity. Key benefits include reduced axle wrap for a more controlled and stable feel, and increased flexibility and articulation throughout the suspension cycle. The springs are constructed with tapered and roll-pointed leafs that enhance flexibility and ensure an even deflection rate. Anti-friction pads are incorporated to provide a smooth and quiet ride, while bolt-style leaf alignment clamps prevent leaf fanning, allowing for greater torsional flex and articulation. This kit includes bushings and has an estimated installation time of 1-2 hours. Specifications include 6 leaves, a 3-inch leaf width, a 52-1/4 inch length, and a 7-1/2 inch leaf spring arch length.
