Rear Lightweight Tubular Subframe

The Verkline WAS-564 Rear Lightweight Tubular Subframe is engineered for VAG vehicles utilizing the MQB and PQ35 platforms with Haldex all-wheel drive systems. Developed through extensive CAD work, FEA testing, and real-world road tests, this subframe replaces the factory steel unit with a lighter and significantly stiffer T45 tubular construction, a material also used in WRC cars. Constructed from T45 tubing imported from the UK and S355 metal sheets, all components are TIG welded for maximum strength. The subframe is finished with a durable black powder coating. Benefits include a mass reduction of approximately 4.5 kg over OEM MQB subframes or 5 kg over PQ35 subframes. It also provides the possibility to adjust camber, toe, and bump steer, and features an additional track setup mounting for the upper control arm to improve camber gain and roll center position, though an adjustable control arm is required for camber adjustment. It offers better access to the car's underbody, allowing for wishbone changes without subframe removal. The subframe includes mounts for OEM rear xenon lights sensors and can accommodate exhausts up to 4 inches with OEM center positioning. It eliminates the need for subframe locking kits or billet aluminum inserts due to its solid mounting points. Compatibility includes a wide range of Audi A3/S3 (8Y, 8P, 8V), RS3 (8V), TT/TTS (8J, 8S), TTRS (8J, 8S), Q2, and Q3/RSQ3 models, as well as SEAT Leon Mk3 (5F) and VW Golf Mk5, Mk6, Mk7, and Mk8 with Haldex AWD. However, it does not work with the Audi RS3 8P and VW Golf R32. For vehicles where the battery is located under the car behind the rear subframe, the battery compartment must be relocated. Sold for off-road, track, and racing applications only, this subframe may increase NVH levels; professional installation by a qualified workshop is strongly advised.
