The Ultra Racing 2-point Rear Lower Brace is engineered to significantly enhance chassis rigidity and improve handling dynamics. By connecting the lower suspension mounting points to the chassis, it effectively reduces body flex, particularly during cornering and on uneven road surfaces. This increased stiffness lessens suspension distortion under load, leading to more stable and accurate camber control, ultimately providing superior grip and a more connected driving feel. Installation involves attaching the brace to the chassis using the original nuts and bolts at two mounting points. However, a critical fitment note indicates that many US-spec Sonata and Optima models may have a carbon canister located between the brace's mounting points. This canister is typically found directly above the rear sway bar and may need to be removed or repositioned to allow for proper installation of the brace. Buyers should verify the clearance under their vehicle before purchasing. This specific rear lower brace is designed for the 2011-2014 Hyundai Sonata and the 2011-2015 Kia Optima (TF).
