Description

The SPL adjustable Rear Lower Camber Arms (RLL) for the GR86/BRZ/WRX are engineered to optimize rear suspension performance by enabling precise adjustment of camber, track width, and motion ratios. These arms replace stock bushings with spherical bearings, effectively eliminating the dynamic alignment changes and binding that occur with softer materials. This enhancement leads to a more responsive suspension, increased lateral grip, and more direct feedback to the driver, crucial for performance driving and track use. The core adjustment mechanism utilizes a 4130 Chromoly Steel double adjuster with an electroless nickel plating for durability and smooth operation, while Ti-6Al-4V Titanium socket head screws secure the assembly. These arms are also notably lightweight, weighing 3.57 lbs (1.62 kg) per arm, which is 17% lighter than OEM equivalents. The use of US-made, PTFE-lined FK bearings ensures self-cleaning and reliable performance. One of the key advantages is the significant adjustability range. The large-diameter chromoly double adjuster and 5/8" (15.8mm) rod end allow for up to 1.375" (35mm) of total length adjustment, providing a 50% greater range than many competing products. This extensive adjustability facilitates fine-tuning of camber settings and motion ratios. The arms feature three-position mounting holes for sway bar endlinks and shock mounts, allowing drivers to adjust these points to prevent endlink binding and modify spring and sway bar effectiveness, akin to having adjustable spring rates without replacing springs. Unlike traditional systems with jam nuts, the SPL rear lower arms incorporate 360° clamps and a double adjuster, making camber setting significantly easier. Adjustments can be made on the vehicle by simply loosening the titanium hardware, turning the double adjuster, and then re-tightening to lock the position, avoiding alignment specification drift. While the rear lower control arm is not a primary source of NVH, the spherical rod end may transmit slightly more road noise over certain surfaces compared to stock rubber bushings, though it also provides a small improvement in ride quality by eliminating torsional bushing bind. Confirmed applications include: 2021+ Toyota GR86 (ZN8), 2013 - 2021 Toyota 86 / Scion FR-S (ZN6), 2013+ Subaru BRZ (ZC6/ZD8), 2008 - 2021 Subaru WRX / STI (GR/VA), 2022+ Subaru WRX (6MT / CVT), and 2009 - 2017 Subaru Forester. These arms replace OEM part numbers including Toyota SU003-08417, SU003-04490 and Subaru 20250-AL011, 20250-FG042, 20250-AJ040, 20250-CA010. Sold as a pair, one pair is required per vehicle.
