The BMR Suspension SP088 is a set of rear lowering springs designed for drag racing applications. Manufactured from chrome silicon high-tensile spring wire and cold-wound on a CNC machine, these springs are built for consistency and durability. Each spring is compressed twice at the factory to ensure a permanent set and prevent sagging, and then shot-peened to eliminate residual stresses.

The BMR Suspension SP088 drag version lowering springs are engineered to provide an aggressive stance and enhanced performance for your Mustang. Designed for drag race enthusiasts seeking optimal straight-line acceleration, these rear springs offer a fine-tuned linear spring rate of 980 lb/in to support weight transfer while maintaining a smooth ride. These springs are constructed from high-tensile chrome silicon spring wire, cold-wound on a CNC coiling machine for precise, consistent dimensions that ensure an exact match between left and right springs. BMR employs a rigorous manufacturing process that includes double solid compression at the factory for a permanent set, stress-relieving at 750 degrees F, and shot-peening to remove surface stresses. Each spring undergoes computer testing for load and rate verification, backed by BMR's lifetime warranty against sagging. Installation time is estimated at 2-3 hours and the springs are finished in a red powdercoat for lasting aesthetics. However, aftermarket perches may not fit properly and could lead to increased NVH. This product fits all 2015-2023 S550 Ford Mustang models, including V-6 and Eco Boost variants. It is specifically noted that this product will not fit MagneRide equipped vehicles. For V8 boosted applications with increased front suspension weight, BMR recommends using SP089 and SP088 springs in conjunction.
