Description

The Dobinsons IMS59-50229 are rear monotube IFP long travel shocks engineered for serious off-roaders and overlanders. They feature a 2.2" (56mm) heavy-duty shock body and an Internal Floating Piston (IFP) monotube design, providing consistent damping and comfort even under extreme conditions. Key features include a 56mm shock body for increased oil volume and cooling, a high-flow CNC-machined race piston (50mm), and a carbon-fiber/PTFE composite wear band to reduce friction and extend life. The shocks are built with 3mm thick DOM body tubing, honed to tight tolerances for strength. The EDP coating ensures corrosion resistance and long-term durability. These shocks are a direct, bolt-on replacement for easy fitment on the rear of 1998-2004 Toyota Tacoma models (6 Lug Only) and are considered long travel shocks for maximum droop. It is important to note that additional parts may be required to fully utilize the extended travel, such as bump stop extensions and longer brake lines. The Dobinsons IMS59-50229 shocks are fully rebuildable and re-valvable, offering the ultimate in reliability. They come with a full 2-year limited warranty. Specifications include an extended length of 650mm (25.59") and a compressed length of 416mm (16.38").
