Description

The Dobinsons IMS43-50784D is a rear monotube shock designed for drivers seeking enhanced ride control, superior heat dissipation, and improved off-road performance compared to standard twin-tube systems. Its large 2.2-inch (56mm) body significantly increases oil capacity, improving resistance to cavitation and fade, especially under heavy loads or in demanding terrain. Constructed with a monotube design and high-pressure nitrogen gas, these shocks offer responsive damping and are precision-valved for specific vehicle applications. Key features include a hardened chrome 18/22mm piston rod, FKM HNBR sealing system for reliability, and custom-blended FUCHS oil for thermal stability. The race-inspired, high-flow CNC 6061 billet alloy piston with a 50mm bore contributes to superior off-road handling. This particular shock absorber is specified for Mitsubishi Pajero V7 models from 2000 onwards, and potentially for Mitsubishi Montero Wagons from 2000 onwards, often used for 0-2 inches of lift.
