Rear Monotube Shock Absorber Pair

The Dobinsons IMS rear shock absorbers (IMS59-50705) are engineered for superior performance and durability in demanding off-road and towing conditions. Utilizing a monotube design, they effectively resist fade on corrugated roads and during strenuous use, outperforming traditional twin-tube shocks. The larger 50mm and 60mm high-flow pistons reduce internal pressures and heat buildup, transferring heat to the shock body for faster cooling and delivering improved damping performance and vehicle control, especially at higher shaft speeds on rough terrain. Built with premium materials, these shocks feature a micropolished, hard-chromed, and heat-treated shock shaft, a CNC aluminum high-flow piston, and a DOM seamless tubing body for exceptional performance and off-road durability. The 56mm/2.2” bodied series shocks are comfort valved, featuring softer slow-speed compression valving ideal for empty rear ends or setups without constant accessory weight, contributing to a more comfortable on-road experience. Designed as a direct, bolt-on replacement, these shocks offer straightforward installation. They are fully re-buildable and re-valvable, and feature corrosion-resistant EDP surface protection and a heavy-duty single-piece lower leg. The IMS59-50705 rear shocks are specifically comfort valved and suit a 0-3” lift. Vehicle fitment includes: Toyota FJ Cruiser, Toyota 4Runner (4th and 5th Gen), Toyota Prado (120 and 150 Series), Toyota Fortuner (2005 on), Lexus GX470, and Lexus GX460.
