The Dobinsons IMS Rear Shocks (IMS09-60179) are a direct, bolt-on replacement designed to elevate the performance of your Chevrolet Silverado or GMC Sierra 1500. Utilizing a monotube design, these shocks provide superior fade resistance compared to twin-tube shocks, making them ideal for harsh conditions like long off-road trips, towing, or racing. Key features include a race-inspired, high-flow CNC 6061 Billet alloy piston with a 60mm bore, which reduces internal pressures and heat buildup. This design promotes faster cooling and delivers improved damping performance for better vehicle control, especially during high-speed impacts on rough terrain. The shocks also boast enormous oil capacity, a heavy-duty 3-stage FKM HNBR sealing system for enhanced reliability, and corrosion-resistant EDP surface protection. Constructed with a heavy-duty single-piece lower leg and a micropolished, hard-chromed, heat-treated shock shaft within DOM seamless tubing, these shocks are built for extreme off-road durability.
