Overview

The Steeda rear seat chassis X-brace is a structural reinforcement designed to increase chassis rigidity in 2005-2014 Ford Mustangs. It installs between the rear wheel wells to reduce deflection, allowing the rear suspension to function more effectively.

Constructed from 4130 chrome moly alloy steel tubing with mild steel brackets, this brace is powdercoated in a fine textured black finish. It provides a stable platform for cornering while helping to eliminate interior squeaks and rattles.

The Steeda rear seat chassis X-brace is a high-strength structural component designed to stiffen the rear chassis of 2005-2014 Ford Mustang models. By coupling the structure between the rear wheel wells, the brace significantly increases chassis rigidity and reduces deflection, which allows the rear suspension to operate more effectively for improved handling and more stable cornering. This X-brace is manufactured in-house using 4130 chrome moly alloy steel tubing and mild steel brackets to withstand hardcore use. It is finished with a durable, fine-textured black powdercoat for long-lasting appearance. Installation can be completed via bolt-on or weld-in methods. Important installation requirements include the mandatory removal of the rear seats. It is recommended to use a custom rear seat delete or Boss 302 delete panels to finalize the cabin aesthetic. For proper installation, top mounts should be torqued to 17 lb-ft and bottom mounts to 20 lb-ft.
