Description

The BDS Suspension FOX98024642 is a rear shock absorber engineered to enhance both on-road comfort and off-road capability. Designed for vehicles with a 4 to 6-inch lift kit, it features a robust 2-inch impact-extruded and CNC-machined 6061-T6 clear anodized aluminum one-piece body, which resists rust. The internal floating piston (IFP) mono-tube design separates the shock oil from the high-pressure nitrogen gas chamber, preventing oil aeration and ensuring consistent performance. Constructed with a race-developed, high-flow piston and application-specific valving, this shock provides predictable ride quality and can handle rough road conditions. The 5/8-inch hard chrome-plated, heat-treated alloy steel shaft ensures durability. The aluminum body also increases cooling capacity. This shock absorber is specifically designed for the 2007-2018 Jeep Wrangler JK models and is intended for use with 4 to 6-inch lift kits.
