The BDS Suspension FOX98224806 FOX 2.0 IFP Rear Shock is engineered to enhance both on-road comfort and off-road capability for specific Ram 1500 and 1500 Rebel models from 2019-2022. Designed to complement a BDS 4-inch lift suspension kit, this rear shock utilizes a mono-tube design with an internal floating piston (IFP) reservoir. This internal reservoir effectively separates the shock oil from the high-pressure, nitrogen-charged gas chamber, preventing oil aeration and ensuring consistent, fade-free performance. The shock features a 2-inch impact-extruded and CNC-machined 6061-T6 clear anodized aluminum body, designed to resist rust. The 5/8-inch hard chrome-plated, heat-treated alloy steel shaft provides durability, while the race-developed high-flow piston and application-specific valving are tuned by FOX and BDS to work seamlessly with BDS suspension systems. This custom tuning maximizes performance and provides a predictable ride for challenging off-road conditions. Key specifications include a compressed length of 16.65 inches, a travel length of 10.09 inches, and an extended length of 26.74 inches, with a 5/8-inch shaft diameter. The shock is gas-charged and not adjustable, featuring no adjustable dampening. It is designed with an eyelet lower mount and an S50 upper mount. This shock is specifically designed for 2019-2022 Ram 1500 and 1500 Rebel 4WD models, including both Diesel and Gas engine variants, and is intended for use with Air-Ride systems.
