Description

The Dobinsons GS59-745 shock absorber is engineered to provide a significant performance upgrade over standard shocks, enhancing vehicle handling and control. Designed, developed, and tested in Australia, these shocks are built to endure extreme conditions, from intense heat to subzero temperatures. Their twin-tube, big-bore design effectively reduces shock fade, ensuring consistent performance even under heavy loads or on harsh terrains. The shocks also utilize Teflon piston rings to reduce internal friction, a double chromed 18mm rod for increased strength and corrosion resistance, and natural rubber bushings for improved ride comfort and noise reduction. A steel dust cover protects the rod from debris, extending the shock absorber's lifespan. These shocks are designed as a direct bolt-in OE replacement for straightforward installation without modifications. This comfort-valved shock absorber is specifically tuned for empty rear ends without constant accessory weight, offering a softer valving for improved on-road comfort with softer slow-speed compression. The GS59-745 is compatible with Toyota 4Runner models from 2003-2024 (4th and 5th Gen) and Toyota FJ Cruiser models from 2006-2016, offering 0-2.5 inches of lift. It is also compatible with Lexus GX470 and GX460 models from 2006-2023.
