Description

The Dobinsons GS59-701 is a rear twin-tube gas shock absorber engineered to significantly enhance your vehicle's handling and control, offering a substantial upgrade over standard shocks. Designed and rigorously tested in Australia for extreme conditions, from the heat of the outback to subzero temperatures, these shocks are built for ultimate durability. The twin-tube, big-bore design features larger bodies and bores, effectively reducing shock fade and ensuring consistent performance even under heavy loads or demanding terrains. The shock absorber boasts a double chromed 18mm rod for increased strength and resistance to wear and corrosion, along with natural rubber bushings that contribute to improved ride comfort and noise reduction. It also includes a steel dust cover to protect against debris and extend the shock absorber's lifespan. As a direct bolt-in OE replacement, the GS59-701 is designed for straightforward installation without requiring modifications. The specifications include an extended length of 605mm and a compressed length of 362mm, with a 54mm body size. It is optimized for rear suspension lifts ranging from 0" to 2.5", with this specific model, GS59-701, providing a 3.0" lift. This shock absorber is compatible with a range of Toyota and Lexus SUVs, including the Toyota FJ Cruiser, 4Runner (4th and 5th Gen), Prado (120 and 150 series), Fortuner (2005 on), Lexus GX470, and Lexus GX460 (2010-2024, 4WD models).
