Overview

The Dobinsons GS59-229 is a pair of twin-tube rear shock absorbers designed for the 1998 to 2004 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 Extra/Double Cab and 4x2 Prerunner Models. These shocks are nitrogen gas charged with low-pressure gas to reduce oil aeration and shock fade. They feature Japanese NOK Multi-Lip seals, Fuchs German shock absorber oil, Natural Rubber bushings, and Teflon piston rings.

The shocks are constructed with thicker walls and offer longer travel, utilizing double chrome-hardened rods and a metal shock boot for rod protection.

The Dobinsons GS59-229 is a pair of twin-tube rear shock absorbers specifically engineered for the 1998 to 2004 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 Extra/Double Cab and 4x2 Prerunner Models, aiming to provide an improved ride quality. These shocks are built with superior design principles, featuring thicker walls for enhanced durability and longer travel capabilities. The internal components include Japanese NOK Multi-Lip seals for reliable sealing, Fuchs German shock absorber oil for optimal damping performance, Natural Rubber bushings to reduce noise, vibration, and harshness while maintaining flexibility, and Teflon piston rings for smooth operation. The construction also includes double chrome-hardened rods for increased strength and longevity, protected by a metal shock boot to prevent damage from road debris. They have been designed, developed, and tested in Australia by Dobinsons Spring & Suspension's in-house engineers to withstand extreme conditions globally, from the Australian outback to Russian winters. The twin-tube design incorporates larger bodies, larger bores, and increased valving performance to significantly enhance vehicle handling, control, and reduce the likelihood of shock fade.
