This reinforcement plate was originally equipped on Z3 models but is also a valuable upgrade for E36 and E46 sedans, and E30 series vehicles. By reinforcing the shock mount, this part helps to prevent failures that can occur with stiffer suspension setups. This Genuine BMW part, with BMW part number 51718413359, is sold individually. It is listed by BMW as a factory rear shock mount reinforcement. Fitment includes all E30 (1984-1991), E36 (1992-1999), E46 (1999-2005), and E36/7 / E36/8 Z3 (1996-2002) models. However, please note that fitment on Convertible models will require trimming of the reinforcement plate.
